This is dedicated to the politicians who want to send troops into Iraq again.
I’d like to ask them a rhetorical question, and I don’t know the true answer why there isn’t more concern from a certain country in the region.
In Silver Blaze, Sherlock Holmes is drawn to the question of the guard dog not barking in the night, when a famous racehorse disappears and its trainer being murdered
Gregory (Scotland Yard detective): “Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?”
Holmes: “To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.
“Gregory: “The dog did nothing in the night-time.”
Holmes: “That was the curious incident.”
So, my question is: why isn’t Israel up in arms about this certain terrorist group (not naming them; I’m not giving them the satisfaction) in their own immediate region?
They’ve attacked Iraq previously back in the 80’s; they’ve attacked Syria a few years ago; they fight a war in Lebanon anytime an Israeli politician needs his, or her, popularity numbers boosted; they’ve fought numerous wars with Egypt; they’ve hunted down and killed Nazis from WWII, and numerous terrorist leaders in the past; they currently and for the past few years, according to reports, have plans to attack Iran
… but now, when it comes to this terrorist group (still not naming them) not a peep
